HPC Engineer, User Assistance, Hardware Operations Manager

Basic Qualifications:

• ● Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or MS and 1+ year of relevant experience.
• ● Prior experience with multiple programming languages and technologies including the following: C++, Python, Shell scripting (e.g., bash, ksh) in a Linux or Unix environment.
• ● Deploying and administering computers running a variety of operating systems including Linux, macOS, and Windows.
• ● Experience building, installing and execute software and other 3rd party software applications on high-performance computing (HPC) systems on CPUs and GPUs
• ● Experience with collaboration technologies such as GitLab and Wikis
• ● Strong technical and analytical skills
• ● Strong verbal and written communication skills
• ● Always maintains the highest level of professionalism when interacting with internal and external customers.
• ● Demonstrates a high-energy, positive attitude and commitment to quality customer service
• ● Contributes to a positive team environment within the center by demonstrating a strong work ethic, effectively communicating with others, and proactively anticipating center and user needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ● Experience with HPC schedulers and resource managers.
• ● Experience with Networks service with a number of active ports.
• ● Experience with object store (like AWS S3) for staging and sharing of data.
• ● Experience with management of large data and data backups. Dridam’s data will reach Petabyte scale soon.
• ● Experience writing user documentation.
• ● Experience developing and delivering training for users.
• ● Experience coordinating and running support teams.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

• Primary functions include the acquisition and support of all hardware devices.
